You living beings and the non-living beings composes, in general, nature. Thus, everything around us is called “beings” whether it is a stone or an animal.
Main features and differences
There are differences between the characteristics of living beings and non-living beings. The most striking factor is the “life”, that is, while some have it, others do not.
Living beings, organized into levels of classification, are those that are born, grow, reproduce and die.
They are formed by one (unicellular) or more (multicellular) cells, need food to survive, react to stimuli, breathe and have metabolism.
All these characteristics distinguish them from non-living beings.
You living beings represent a large class of elements that make up nature and that need non-living beings to live, as per For example, the plant, a living being from the vegetable kingdom, needs non-living beings, such as water, temperature, sun, soil to be to develop.
Another example is the fish phylum, since these living beings, belonging to the gill-breathing animal kingdom, they can only breathe in water and, therefore, once again we have the interdependent relationship between living beings and not alive.
Even if we think of the human being, just remember that the air we breathe or the water we drink is part of the category of non-living beings, belonging to the mineral kingdom.
