O screamer he is a lost soul who lives in the fields of the south-central region of Brazil.
Legend has it that the Shouter was buried, but as he had not paid for all his sins, the earth gave him back.
Thus, the mummy, or this spirit that inhabits a dry body, goes wandering through the woods every Friday, after midnight.
Witnesses say the screams sound like a dying person, others describe it more as laments, followed by loud cries, hence the name.
In order for the land to accept him back, he will have to meet a girl named Maria seven times so that he can rest in peace. The problem is finding who is brave enough to overcome the fear of the Shouter's terrible screams.
Following the same folklore steps around the Bradador, in the region of the Rio das Mortes, in São Paulo, it is possible to hear the Bicho Barulhento. That region was rich in gold and 40 miners are said to have killed each other out of greed. Since then, at night, screams have been heard in that area.
Origin of the Legend of the Shouter
The story of Bradador refers to the stories told by lonely and tired travelers through the backlands of Brazil.
Hungry, cold and fatigued, the passerby listened and saw from fantastic creatures like the Headless Mule when hearing the screams of the Shouter.
