O Human Body It is formed by 4 types of fabrics: epithelial, connective, muscular, nervous. It is worth remembering that tissues are formed by the grouping of different cells, each with its own function.

Types of Fabrics

O Human Body It is formed by 4 types of fabrics, to know: epithelial tissue, connective tissue (adipose, cartilaginous, bone and blood) muscle tissue (smooth, skeletal and cardiac) and nervous tissue.

epithelial tissue

Human Body Tissues

The functions of epithelial tissue they are body lining, sensitivity and secretion of substances. Therefore, this type of tissue is composed of a group of cells juxtaposed in different shapes: cylindrical, flat or cubic.

It is interesting to note that in the epithelial tissues there is no presence of blood vessels. A notorious example of epithelial tissue is human skin, formed by epidermis (epithelial tissue) and the dermis (connective tissue).

Connective tissue

Human Body Tissues

O connective tissue it has the functions of sustaining, filling and transporting substances; its fibers are formed by two types of proteins: collagen and elastin.

So that its cells are well diversified in shape, size and function, the connective tissue is divided into:

  • adipose tissue: Composed of adipose cells that accumulate fat (adipocytes), this type of tissue has as its main function the thermal insulation of the body, thus being the body's largest store of energy. From this, it is enough to note that a thin person feels colder than a fat person, since this person has more adipose tissue than the other (thin).
  • Cartilaginous tissue: Has firm consistency, yet flexible; its function is to support and cover, for example, the ear, the nose, the trachea. In addition cartilage cushions the impact of movements on the spine.
  • bone tissue: Hard tissue, rich in mineral salts, calcium and collagen which makes the bones rigid and resistant. In addition, it is innervated and irrigated by blood, and its main function is to support the body, since it makes up the human skeleton.
  • blood tissue: Formed by different types of cells, this tissue has the functions of defense of the body and transport of nutrients. Remember that the blood is a liquid tissue, composed of Red Cells, leukocytes, platelets and plasma.

Muscle tissue

Human Body Tissues

O muscle tissueit is formed by elongated cells specialized in contraction (contractile proteins: myosin and actin); have great innervation and vascularization, and are divided into:

  1. smooth muscle tissue (non-striatum): Characterized by involuntary movements, its name corresponds to the absence of transverse striae, such as the uterus, bladder and bowel.
  2. skeletal muscle tissue: Receives this name, as most of this tissue is next to the skeleton; it has long cells, presence of transverse streaks and voluntary movements.
  3. cardiac muscle tissue: Found in the heart, this type of tissue has involuntary movement being formed by long, cylindrical cells in addition to having transverse streaks.

nerve tissue

Human Body Tissues

O nervous tissue it is mainly formed by nerve cells called neurons. It has long, stellate cells that have the ability to transmit nerve impulses. Examples are the nerves, the brain and the spinal cord.
