Countryside it is a region that does not integrate the urban perimeter, that is, it is an area of ​​the municipality not classified as urban area or urban expansion zone.
The rural area is of fundamental importance to our lives, as agricultural activities such as the cultivation of various foods (rice, beans, fruits, vegetables, etc.) and animal husbandry (ox, cows, pigs, among others). others).
Another economic feature of the countryside is ecotourism, also called rural tourism. This is an activity carried out in a conscious and ecologically correct manner, which follows the elementary principles of sustainable development.


Horse riding is a leisure alternative in the countryside

Many people seek to get out of the stressful routine of the urban area, and find a way to rest in the countryside. Among the activities carried out in the countryside are: ecological trails, horseback riding, bathing in waterfalls, etc.
The rural zone also has the important functions of preserving the biodiversity of a given location, guaranteeing water quality and maintaining indigenous lands. In this sense, the Conservation Units were created with the aim of preserving the country's environmental and cultural heritage.
