Sino-Japanese War (1894

As with most wars in history, which several times had their beginnings caused mainly by territorial expansion and occupation, the Sino-Japanese War is no exception, this was a confrontation between Japan and China, with a reciprocal interest in being able to act in the control of Korea. To impose its power, Japan militarily superior to China, materialized this superiority completely defeating the Chinese troops (Navy and Army). With this victory, Japan reflects its power to Westerners, and this made it be seen in Europe as a power.


The conflict began in August 1894, the Chinese dropped bombs on Japanese vessels, the response was immediate, Japan counterattacked and defeated the enemy. In 1895, Japan promoted an invasion of Manchuria and took the port of Arthur, began to manage the sea and land transit that gave access to Beijing.


The conflict had its beginning signed in 1895, through the establishment of the Shimonosek treaty, this treaty imposes on the defeated (China) the obligation of recognition of independence Korean, in addition to having to pay a kind of indemnity arising from the war against Japan, deliver territories and promote the opening of four ports for the development of trade Japanese.


Japan, the winner, won the right to occupy Port Arthur.
