Well, as you could see, the presence of that element that connected them, which is called conjunction, it is important, but if removed the meaning is not impaired, as it only connects the prayers.
In this way, know that we are talking about the period composed of coordination, as in it the prayers are independent of each other.
Let's look at another example:
We'll go to the movies if it doesn't rain.
I invite you again to reflect. Now, analyzing only the sentence that appears after the comma, that is: if it does not rain.
How strange, isn't it? If someone tells you that, you'll be in doubt at the very least.
Know that we are talking about the period composed of subordination, as the prayers now establish a relationship of dependence on each other. Let's analyze it:
we will go to the cinema, if it does not rain.
We have that the first prayer – we're going to the movies, it has a full meaning.
The second – if it doesn't rain, it is totally dependent on the first, that is, it has no meaning by itself.
