touch screen means "touch screen", and consists of a technology that allows direct and intuitive interaction and command of a certain electronic device through touch.
Currently, the technology touch screen is present in various aspects of modern life, whether in the smartphones, tablets, ATMs, computers, televisions, etc.
The user is able to carry out all the commands of a certain device from the direct touch on the device's screen, without the need to use keyboards, mice or others hardware and peripherals.

The technology touch screen recognizes the presence and location of the touch made on the surface of a display electronically and, consequently, transmits this information so that the intended task can be performed.
Types of touch screen
There are different systems of touch screen, but in the current market the most common are: resistive technology and capacitive technology.
resistive system
This model is formed from three layers, being two conductive and one insulating.
The two conductive films come together at the point where the user touches the screen, causing a current of electrical energy to be present at the location.
The device system is informed of where this join occurs, causing the ordered task to be decoded and executed by the engine.
capacitive system
This system is characterized by the accumulation of charges on one of the films.
When the user taps the screen, charges are transferred to their finger. The mechanism identifies the energy variations that are subtracted from the screen, determining the coordinates of the point where it was touched.
Differences between the capacitive system and the resistive system
Capacitive technology only works when the touch is performed by something that is energy conductor (like the human finger, for example), since this must be transferred to the object that touches the screen.
The resistive, on the other hand, because it works from the union of two conductive films, works with the touch of any object, be it a finger or a rubber, for example.
Another difference is in the resistance of the capacitive system in relation to the resistive one. However, the latter turns out to be much cheaper to produce compared to other systems of touch screen available on the market.
