Denied is the characteristic of something that wasn't allowed, that wasn't granted, that is, something denied.

This term is quite common in the legal field, and can describe the act of the court or judge that does not grant the request for something, such as a habeas corpus, for example.

There are laws that regulate the denial of processes and requests in Brazil, provided for in articles 544 and 1.201 of the Code of Civil Procedure.

Invoice denied

In the field of economics and business in general, this is a term widely used, referring to the status of denial of the invoice with the Secretariat of Finance.

The denial of an invoice happens when the Treasury Department does not accept the receipt of certain note, due to pending issues or tax irregularities of the issuer or, in some cases, of the recipient.

In these cases, the company can only re-invoice its sales after regularization with the Finance Department.

There is a big difference between denied invoice and rejected invoice.

The rejection of an invoice is not related to the company's default condition, but rather an error in the filling the note, erasing the signature or when not yet registered for issuing invoices, by example.
