Deputy is one who was posted before, who was preferred, announced or given in advance. It is an adjective that qualifies the one who is the favorite or who was chosen.

The agent is that person who runs or manages an industry or a business by delegation of the owner. It is a masculine noun that names that person who is constituted by the proponent, to represent him before an attribution, to lead or direct it.

The agent may also be appointed to represent a company's proponent before a lawsuit.

In Brazil, the agent is the representative, that is, the person who represents another person. It is also the delegate, the one who is authorized by someone to represent him, the one who has his position depending on higher authority.

A representative is one who represents the owner of a company, runs a service, performs some act for delegation of the competent person, who is the proponent, the one who constitutes the agent, on his behalf, under his dependency.

The agent can be a direct assistant, an employee, a subordinate, a person who takes orders from another, or a professional assigned to a specific activity. Permanent or temporary employees, with or without an employment relationship, are empowered to represent the company before third parties.
