A gesture can also be understood as an action or attitude that represents the demonstration of something, usually a feeling or emotion. A gesture of love, for example, would be an act of expression of the feeling of love that a certain person feels.

Many people confuse the correct spelling of this word between gesture and jesto. The correct way to write is with the letter "g", gesture. The word "jesto" is incorrect and does not exist in Portuguese.
