Meaning of Wisdom (What it is, Concept and Definition)

Wisdom is the feminine noun that is the characteristic of a wise person and that it means an extensive and in-depth knowledge of various things or a particular topic.

Wisdom is often indicative of an educated person, who has great judgment, common sense, and behaves righteously.

When wisdom is used to do less-than-good things, it can be synonymous with cunning, cunning, or trickery.

The word wisdom comes from Latin saper and it is a concept that also has a cultural and tradition component, as different cultures often give rise to different types of wisdom, such as oriental wisdom.

Wisdom can come from many sources: divine wisdom, for example, is that which comes from God or from other entities that are considered divine.

Wisdom of God

Wisdom is one of the most mentioned characteristics about God. God is classified as omniscient, that is, he knows or knows all things. O depth of the wealth of God's wisdom and knowledge! How unfathomable are his judgments and unsearchable his ways! (Romans 11:33)

The Bible also mentions the wisdom of King Solomon, son of King David, who was the most prosperous king of Israel, being also considered the wisest man in the Old Testament and one of the wisest of all Bible.

God gave Solomon wisdom, extraordinary insight, and a breadth of knowledge as immeasurable as the sand of the sea. Solomon's wisdom was greater than that of all men in the east and all the wisdom of Egypt. (1 Kings 4:29-30)
