Discussion is the the act of discussing, debating and provoking controversy. Typically, an argument is formed when two opposing sides try to defend an opinion that is contrary to the other.
Discussions can be related to feelings of anger, characterized by the harsh, insulting and aggressive tone of the conversation. In this case, discussion can be interpreted as a synonym for fight.
However, they can also be understood as the debate between two or more parties based on logical arguments, in order to clarify a certain subject, for example. Thus, a discussion aims to elucidate any type of uncertain content that is a reason for controversy.
As a result of a discussion, when done based on mutual respect, those involved will be able to experience the exchange of ideas, information and deepen their knowledge in the areas discussed.
Many people confuse the correct spelling of this word, especially between discussion and discussion. As we have seen, the correct way to write is discussion (with "ss"). The shape discussion is wrong and does not exist in the Portuguese language.
