Curriculum vitae which means resume, in Portuguese, is a term from Latin, and means life trajectory. Curriculum can also be abbreviated to CV or just CV. It is a historical document, which reports the educational and/or academic trajectory and professional experiences of a person, as a way to demonstrate their skills and competences.
The curriculum vitae aims to provide a person's profile to companies, and can also be used as a support tool in academic situations. The curriculum is a synthesis of qualifications and aptitudes, in which the candidate for a job vacancy describes his professional experience, academic background, and other personal data.
The curriculum is still the way most companies select their employees. Usually the resume is sent by email to companies or on the website of some, it is possible to create your own resume, to remain in the company's database.
There is no model curriculum, each one must do what they think is best, but always containing basic information, such as data for contact, the candidate's professional experiences, his academic background, courses he took, whether in languages or computing, and etc. It is very important to make a curriculum without spelling errors, if it is necessary to include a photo, which is nothing vulgar or that could damage the candidate's image.
