procrastinating is the act of postponing something or prolonging a situation to be resolved later.
Procrastination is a behavior considered normal for human beings, however it can be very harmful when it starts to impede the functioning of personal or professional routines.
The verb procrastinate is used in the sense of neglect of activities, that is, when a job does not receive the proper attention and importance that it should, being left aside for the production of other less important activities, for example.
By normal, the act of procrastinating is related to anxiety, stress, lack of creativity and other feelings that help deconcentrate the person from their goal.
Etymologically, the word “procrastinate” originated from the Latin procrastination, procrastinate, which means “ahead of tomorrow” in the literal translation.
There are some simple techniques that help people slow down their procrastination by focusing mainly in optimizing the division of production time for work, entertainment and rest.
One of these techniques is called pomodoro, developed by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s. In this method, the person must divide 25-minute periods of time (called “pomodoros”), interspersing with 5-minute rest intervals between each. After 4 "pomodoros", the person has the right to 30 minutes of rest, and then return to a new sequence of "pomodoros".
