Measurement is the act of measuring, that is, determining the value of certain quantities. It is synonymous with measurement. The term is used in several areas such as Accounting, Business Administration, Medicine, Anthropology, among others.
In Accounting, the asset measurement process consists of attributing monetary values to the elements that make up equity.
In Business Administration, when it comes to measuring results or measuring performance there is a reference to the way of evaluating the performance of the employee in their duties within the company. The measurement of results can be done through different instruments, for example, through the application of a questionnaire.
In Medicine and Anthropology, measurement is a term used when determining dimensions (measurement of pressure, blood glucose level, pain intensity, etc.) or to define the measurement of certain localized anatomical points (for example, measurement of body fat through the folds skin).
