Meaning of Stepfather (What it is, Concept and Definition)

Stepfather is someone who despite not be the biological father of an individual, receives the parental responsibilities when he marries a woman (or man, in case of same-sex marriage) who already has children.

For a man to be considered a stepfather, the biological father must be absent; deceased or who has decided to abandon the child. In this family context, the children are called stepchildren, in relation to the stepfather.

In English, the word "stepfather" is translated to "stepfather".

The writing correct is stepfather and nostepfather.
