Meaning of Tribal (What it is, Concept and Definition)

Tribal is a term relating to tribe. A tribe is a collection of people grouped together by a common culture, language, history and customs. Each tribe has its own customs: dancing, chanting, musical instruments, rituals, crafts, paintings and other elements that are recognized as belonging to a tribe. There are several terms related to the tribe, for example, tribal sound, tribal crafts, tribal painting, etc.

In indigenous tribes, body paintings usually indicate the social position occupied by a member of the tribe. The geometric and abstract designs of these paintings inspired the creation of tattoos chosen by men and women around the world. For the Maoris, natives of New Zealand, tattoos were made on the head and had a strong meaning, as they indicated the social level of each man. Tribal tattoos have evolved and each design can have multiple meanings. In some cases, tribal motifs are chosen only for the beauty and mystery they represent.
