The Law of Guidelines and Bases establishes the guidelines and bases for National education. The Law of Guidelines and Bases (LDB) regulates Brazilian school education, which is developed through teaching, in its own institutions. It was created in 1961. A new version was approved in 1971 and the third, still in force, was approved on December 29, 1996.
