Zone it is a local, one region, one range, one delimited area. The expression zona determines the meaning of several words, including urban zone, intertropical zone, zone of attrition, Free Zone, Electoral Zone, Comfort Zone, No-Fly Zone, North Zone, Forest Zone, etc.
Urban area it is the region of the city where the largest number of homes, health services, education, leisure, sanitation etc. are concentrated. It is where the largest number of inhabitants are concentrated.
The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) defines an urban area as the seat of a city, municipality or district, without taking into account its size or the amount of population.
intertropical zone it is the climatic zone of the earth, which is located between the lines that delimit the Tropics of Cancer of Capricorn. It is the region where temperatures are high almost every month of the year. Also called the tropical zone, it is the strip that is close to the equator, where the sun's rays reach the land more directly. Much of the Brazilian territory is located in the tropical zone.
friction zone it is the area where there are clashes of interests, whether political or economic, between two or more States.
Free Zone it is a region of a country, where trade in goods is free from customs duties. Free zones are established by the government, where the creation of companies and industries are encouraged, to accelerate the development of a region.
Electoral Zone is a delimited area, within a municipality, established by the Regional Electoral Court (TRE), under the administration of an Electoral Registry, in charge of registering voters, able to vote, on the occasion of the elections.
