O Ministry of Education (MEC) announced that it will increase the number of vacancies for the professional and technological education courses.
Available in the form of Distance Education (EaD), the formations are part of the New Paths program, released in October 2019.
In order to meet the needs of the market and professions of the future, the project also aims to train, generate income and boost more employment.
In this context, the Department of Professional and Technological Education (Setec) of the MEC issued a statement. The intention is that the state secretariats and other public institutions manifest themselves with proposals for qualifications.

The courses are expected to start in the first half of 2020, until the month of June, and enrollment cannot be made in person. The standards applied must be similar to those of the
training scholarship program, whose maximum value for the hour-class is R$ 4.50.In the case of partner institutions that already have approved on-site training, it will be possible to change to the distance learning modality.
The opportunities offered will be part of the initiative to determine the adjustment of balances provided by the MEC, in the Novos Caminhos Program. The activity made it possible for funds from the Bolsa Formação Program, stagnant in the accounts of the federative units of Brazil, to be used before being returned to the Union.
