Children's Day is celebrated in Brazil on October 12, it is a commemorative and commercial date proposed by a federal deputy at the time, Galdino do Valle Filho. However, it was only from the 60's (century. XX) that the date (despite being in force under the law) was effectively adopted by the population through campaigns by large manufacturers of children's hygiene products and toys in the country.

Currently, especially after the creation of the Child Statute, it is a date that celebrates the importance of childhood and its preservation.
