November 13 attacks in Paris

The city of Paris, capital of France, on the night of November 13, 2015, hosted the biggest terrorist attack has already taken place on European soil and one of the biggest ever carried out by Islamic fundamentalist groups against the West - second only to the 11 attacks of september 2001. The action was carried out by terrorists linked to the Islamic state, a fundamentalist group operating in Iraq and Syria that gained notoriety throughout 2014 by, among others things, broadcast videos of beheadings, shootings and carbonizations of Western, Christian and military journalists Iraqis. Also noteworthy is the fact that its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, have self-proclaimed caliphuniversal of Muslims.

The attacks in Paris began around 9:16 pm and continued into the early morning hours of November 14th. In total, eight terrorists, of Belgian and French nationality, took part in the action, which resulted in 129 deaths confirmed by the French government and more than 350 injuries. Six places of high movement of people were the chosen targets by the terrorists. The first was the

Stade de France (the football stadium that played host to the 1998 World Cup final). A suicide bomber detonated a belt of explosives at 21:16 in the vicinity of the stadium where a game between the French and German teams was being played, which was being watched by the president of France, FrancoisHolland.

The first explosion near the stadium was followed by the attack with rifles and machine guns, around 21:20, against people present in the restaurants Le Carillon and Le Petit Cambodia. At around 9:30 pm, there was another explosion in the vicinity of the Stade de France. The suspicion of being the result of a terrorist attack was confirmed, and the French president was removed from the interior of the stadium. Spectators had to head to the center of the stadium to take shelter and wait for more information about what was going on. At the same time, two more restaurants were shot, the La Casa Nostra it's the la Belle Équipe. Dozens of people died in the meantime.

At 9:45 pm, four terrorists invaded the concert hall Bataclan, where the presentation of an American rock band was taking place. Hundreds of people were shot inside the establishment. Many managed to escape, but the terrorists managed to hold about 80 people hostage in the establishment for nearly three hours. At the time when terror was taking hold in the concert hall, a third explosion occurred in the vicinity of the Stade de France. despite the Bataclan having been surrounded by the Parisian police, she could not avoid the disastrous outcome: the four terrorists detonated their explosive belts, killing everyone inside the concert hall.

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)

In the days that elapsed after the attack, it was discovered that the terrorists who participated in it had received training in Islamic State domains in Syria and turned to Europe to prepare the outrage. These eight people, according to investigations by the French police, would have followed the attack plan drawn up by Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a terrorist of Belgian nationality who is currently among the members of the Islamic State in Syria, but once lived in the neighborhood of Molenbeek, in Brussels, which is considered a stronghold of Islamic terrorists from Europe. According to witnesses, the car used by the suspects to move from one point to another where the attacks took place had a Belgian license plate.

In addition to the mastermind behind the attack, at least two of the eight terrorists on 11/13 lived in Molenbeek. In addition, the terrorist Amedy Coulibaly bought the weapons he used in his attack on January 7th, in the same Belgian neighborhood. Couliabaly, remember, attacked a supermarket on the outskirts of Paris on the same day (07/01/2015) in which the brothersKouachi attacked the headquarters of the satirical newspaper CharlieHebdo. The Kouachi were linked to the A-Qaeda, while Couliabaly, to the headquarters of the Islamic State in Yemen.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks on November 13, 2015 through a public letter. In addition, representatives of the terrorist organization have also threatened other countries, such as states United States, which, together with France, are carrying out air strikes on Islamic State installations in Iraq and Syria.
