A very common and frequent question is how to store dairy products in the lunch box. Dairy products are fluid milks and all those foods that are derived from milk. These foods are highly perishable, requiring, therefore, greater care in the storage and transport of these products, as they need to be kept in cool environments or under refrigeration.
Dairy items that can be shipped in the lunch box
With proper conservation, we can send milk, yogurts, cheese and curd. O milk it can be shipped neat, mixed with cocoa, honey, shaken with fruit, etc. As for the yogurts, give preference to the natural ones (which in the ingredients contain only milk and dairy yeast), which can be sweetened with honey, mixed with fruit, mixed with chopped fruit, with granola, etc.
You cheeses, preferably white, can be consumed pure and together with the cream cheese, can be the filling of a sandwich. They can also be seasoned and served as a pâté to accompany cookies, toasts or vegetables.

Accessories that help in the conservation of dairy products
To preserve food, we can count on the help of some accessories, such as:
thermal lunch boxes
I consider the thermal lunch box essential for the sending any snack. We have a multitude of options and prices on the market. I usually say that it should be chosen primarily for its ease of cleaning and size, then by the type of handle (according to the way it will be carried) and, finally, by the drawing/character.

Thermos bottles and pots
We also have on the market a multitude of options for bottles and thermal pots for preserving snacks. Here I also suggest choosing the ease of cleaning, the size (according to the lunch box), if they can be used for hot liquids/food (if you find it necessary, as not all of them maintain the two temperatures) and the weather that promises conserve.
If possible, choose the ones from stainless steel, as they do not pick up smell or taste, are safe and keep for longer.
Thermos flasks are an indispensable item for the composition of the school lunch box.
Reusable ices
These are bags, usually made of gel, which must be frozen before being placed in the lunch box. We also have a multitude of models and prices on the market. For this item, I usually say that size is the most important. It needs to be a good size so that, even on hotter days, it keeps the lunch box cool until it's time for the snack to be consumed. There also needs to be space in the lunch box for him.
There are a multitude of models for reusable ices.
They are easily found in pharmacies, home appliance stores, camping and fishing supply stores, and stores where they sell children's lunchbox accessories. This accessory can easily be replaced with a bottle with frozen water. Leave the bottle in the freezer overnight and, before leaving, put it in the lunch box.

Conservation
The conservation of these foods depends a lot on the time they will take to be consumed. For full time snacks, in which the child will only consume the next shift, it is not recommended to send dairy products, unless the school provides a refrigerator for storing this food or it is shipped in an excellent thermos that will keep the food for 12 hours.
for snacks from same shift, in which the food will be consumed within 4 hours, you can choose to use the thermos bottle or pot or the combination of thermos lunch box and reusable ice. Due to the high perishability of these foods, if you choose to send them in a thermal lunch box with ice reusable, fancy the size of ice, so that the lunch box stays fresh over time required.
