On September 1st, our country celebrates the Professional's Day PE, a date dedicated to the appreciation and understanding of the various modalities that comprise this profession. This celebration takes place on this date as it coincides with the institution of Federal Law No. 9696, on September 1, 1998, which regulated the Physical Education Profession and created the Federal and Regional Education Councils Physics.
According to the Federal Council of PE, is recognized as a Physical Education Professional who is identified by the following denominations: Physical Education Teacher, Sports Coach, Sports Coach, Physical Trainer, Personal trainner, Sports Coach; Sports Coach; Body-Physical Trainer; Body Education Teacher; Body Exercises Advisor; Body Activities Monitor; Motrician and Kinesiologist.
We realize, therefore, that Physical Education is a broad area and is not restricted to academies and schools. Professionals trained in this area can work with gymnastics, sports and even recreational areas. However, it is worth noting that the licensed professional works exclusively in Basic Education, while the Bachelor's Degree enables work in other areas not related to teaching (
personal trainer, for example).Regardless of the area in which the Physical Education Professional works, he is always directly related to the promoting health and increasing the population's quality of life. Therefore, it is essential that a trained and duly registered professional monitor the physical activities performed in gyms and schools, for example, to ensure that the activity takes place properly, in addition to ensuring the health of those who are practicing.

To ensure that the Physical Education professional is able to promote the health of the population, the courses offered by universities are not only based on the practice of exercises, dances and sports. Throughout the training, the professional is informed about the functioning of the body and has access to subjects such as physiology, human anatomy, biochemistry, biophysics and motor behavior.
Currently, there is an increase in the search for physical conditioning and the perfect body, which favors the insertion of Physical Education professionals in the job market. It is important to point out that only this professional is able to create exercise plans that ensure greater efficiency in training. Therefore, when starting a physical activity, always find out if there is a professional guiding the activity.
Curiosity: The Symbol of Physical Education is the Mirón Discóbolo (image at the beginning of this text) and was chosen as a way to symbolize the strength and dynamism of the profession. The stone of the course, in turn, is the green one, which is used by all health professionals.
