War of Austrian Succession

The War of Succession in Austria took place between the years 1740 and 1748, it was a conflict caused by the Pragmatic Sanction, in which Emperor Charles VI gave his daughter Maria Teresa the domain of the Holy Empire Roman.
The war began with the death of Emperor Charles VI (1740), arousing the interest of Prussia, Bavaria and Spain. Frederick II conquered Silesia (1740-1741), simultaneously the Franco-Bavarians took possession of Bohemia and Upper Austria.
Austria ceded Silesia and Prussia (1742) when it granted peace to Bavaria after defeating it (1745). France attacked and conquered the Flanders region, securing its presence in the Netherlands through victory Fontenoy, but failed to maintain his achievements in the Aix-la-Chapelle peace treaty, which ended the conflict.
