Internetese is the language used in the virtual environment, more precisely in chat rooms such as orkut, messenger, blogs and others. As it became a practice in everyone's life, people who use these services began to abbreviate the words so that they became a standardized configuration.
It is a common practice among teenagers who, accustomed to the rapidity of the world of snapshots and disposables, use it as a means to streamline and streamline conversations. As if that wasn't enough, they created pets and words that blink all the time, called gifs, to make chats more attractive.
Virtual figures featuring expressions
However, for written language, this is not an advantageous practice. In addition to the fact that young people have little contact with the world of books, precisely because they are more connected to virtual news, they lose the standard spelling forms, which can be compromised by the lack of contact with the correct spelling.
Schools must work hard on this aspect, as we cannot allow the correct writing of languages to be destroyed in the face of virtual banalities.
Families should also set limits for young people, encouraging them to other fun practices, as well as encouraging them to read books and magazines, appropriate to their age.
When children or teenagers live with their parents' examples at home, they can't resist reading, and we know that this is a factor that enriches the vocabulary, provides opportunities for learning grammar as well as spelling, in addition to the pleasures provided by reading.
Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)
The existence of some expressions is registered as follows: :D is a laugh, B) are sunglasses, :( means sad, :* is the kiss, :x characterizes closed mouth, among many others.
Some words were abbreviated incorrectly, compromising the spelling as u – you, blz – ok, naum – no, cmg – me, neh – no or right, kd – where, etc.
Flw - said, blza - ok, kdê - where's
In this strange way of writing, we usually come across texts written completely wrong, which shock people who preserve the standard form of writing. The following sentence, found on the internet, is an example of this: “naum eskreva feitu retarddu on the net because there is jenti lendu what you wrote”.
This form of writing does not make anything easier, as it becomes much more difficult for those who already have spelling knowledge of their language.
It's good to remember that they also have nothing to do with acronyms, acronyms of words that have been universally established, especially useful in telecommunications, as they allow you to condense several words into a few letters, as in telegrams. They were created to be used worldwide, so as not to compromise the spelling of the languages, which does not happen with the abbreviations of Internetese.
Thus, it is necessary to seek ways to make young people not take these learnings to writing formal, as they will be harmed both at school and in the near future of professionalism.
