Greater São Paulo is home to the large vehicle, chemical and auto parts industries. In the capital and in some cities in the interior, such as Sorocaba, Americana, Ribeirão Preto, the textile industry stands out.
Alongside the agricultural development poles, the food industry was developed. For example: sugar refining and coffee milling plant in the region of Ribeirão Preto, and large slaughterhouses in the region of Araçatuba.
With the concentration and increase of industries, there was also the organization of workers in unions. They were structured and strengthened from 1979, mainly in the ABCD region, in greater São Paulo.
Coffee promoted the development of São Paulo, stimulated by the coffee richness, the industry began to develop in the state. Industry is the consequent expansion of the consumer market. São Paulo has become the most developed and industrialized state in the country.
The industry, in greater São Paulo, is already present in the interior. Medium and small cities have their own industry, which has given a great dynamism to the interior of São Paulo.
São Paulo is, however, the economic center with the greatest potential in the country. The vanguard of Brazilian industrialization and modernity is formed.
We currently have the largest industrial park in Brazil.

Products from farms and industries must be consumed. It is through trade that products reach the consumer. Thus, the products are sold and bought in shops, bars, supermarkets, fairs, butchers etc.
There is wholesale trade, which is carried out between products and large traders or by traders among themselves. And the retailer, made in small quantities, between merchant and consumers.
The state of São Paulo is a state in Brazil where trade (both internal and external) is more intense. The main product exported is coffee. Our state is located in the port of Santos, which is the country's main export port.

The biggest commercial center in our state is São Paulo. Agriculture

The main agricultural products grown in our state are: coffee, rice, peanuts, sugar cane, corn, fruits, soy, vegetables and greens. Coffee is still the most imported product of our agriculture. Currently, the state of São Paulo is the largest sugarcane producer in Brazil. The purpose of sugarcane cultivation is the manufacture of sugar and alcohol.
Several municipalities in our state are dedicated to fruit growing, that is, fruit growing. The main cultivated fruits are: orange, grape, peach, fig, lemon, watermelon, pineapple, banana, papaya, strawberry etc.
With the cultivation of cotton, peanuts, soybeans and corn developed into the edible oil industry.
In most municipalities in São Paulo there are the Casas da Agricultura, whose purpose is to guide farmers. The cultivation of a single agricultural product is called monoculture.
The cultivation of various agricultural products is called polyculture.

Livestock
Livestock is the creation of animals for economic purposes.
Livestock mainly covers the following cattle, pigs, sheep, goats.
The creation of bovine cattle can be: cut cattle, which are breeders and fattened for the purpose of providing meat for our food and for industries.
In the state of São Paulo, this breeding is highly developed in the western plateau, mainly in the regions of Andradina, Araçatuba, Barretos São José do Rio Preto, Presidente Prudente, etc. Dairy cattle, which are raised for the purpose of providing milk for our consumption and for the dairy industries.
In our state, dairy cattle are raised in the Paraíba valley and in the municipalities of Campinas, Araraquara, São Carlos, Rio Claro, Mococa, Franca, Porto Ferreira. Swine culture is the creation of swine cattle with the purpose of producing meat, bacon, lard and leather for consumption and for industries.
The creation of swine is important in many municipalities in the state. In several cities in São Paulo there are slaughterhouses that buy cattle from farmers, distributing the meat to butchers.
There are large livestock farmers in the state of São Paulo. They are modern farms, with machines that today do a good part of man's work.
