- Angst: generally, they are stronger stories, involving depression and sadness;

- fluff: stories that are usually short and sweet. Generally, it can spawn around a novel or just be a fun and happy story;
- M / F (male / female): stories involving romance between man and woman;
- oneshot: Unlike most fanfics, oneshots are not divided into several chapters and are generally shorter. They are complete stories.
- OOC (out of character): are stories in which a known character behaves differently from the original story;
- OC or PO (original character): the story includes a character created by the fan writer.
- Slash: story with a homosexual relationship;
- R.A. (Alternative Reality): when the story has the same universe and characters created by the author, but one of the facts changes;
- slow burn: stories in which characters slowly fall into a romantic or sexual relationship.
