Consume foods varied it is essential to guarantee the nutrients our bodies need. To help with this task, I prepared another weekly menu in order not only to better nourish the children, but also to prevent them from getting sick of some food.

Weekly menu

As I've commented on previous menus, this menu suggestion is just to serve as inspiration, as it is possible to change the food according to the tastes and ingredients you already have at home.

A tip for those who want to adapt the menu is to give preference to the consumption of seasonal fruits, because, in addition to being tastier and healthier, they are cheaper and can be found more easily.

(Recommended age: from 2 years old, as it contains sugar.)

Ingredients

1 and 1/4 cup of warm milk

3/4 teaspoon of salt
2 and ¼ cup of whole wheat flour
1 and 1/2 cup of white wheat flour

Mix all ingredients and knead for about five minutes. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more flour (I added wholemeal). Let it rise until it doubles in size, mold the bread into the shape you want and let it rise again until it doubles in size. Bake over medium heat at 180ºC.

Comments

- 200 ml measuring cup;
- If you prefer less wholemeal bread, just invert the amounts of white flour for wholemeal.
