Habitat is a term widely used in Ecology and refers to the place where a certain species lives and develops, that is, the habitat is the favorable environment for a species to feed and reproduce.
Each species lives in a specific habitat. According to the Tamar project, the turtle-green, for example, has as habitat coastal waters with a lot of vegetation, islands or bays. This means that it is in this location that the green turtle can find the right conditions for its survival.

It is noteworthy that the human being is also capable of creating habitat, that is, creating environments similar to natural ones to support a certain species. An example of artificial habitat can be seen in fish breeding ponds.
→ habitat destruction
A habitat is destroyed when there is a change in its characteristics that causes the destruction of that environment or when there are intense changes that de-characterize the original location. THE livestock, the fires, the
logging and human occupation are some important examples of factors that cause habitat destruction. It is believed that this problem is one of the main responsible for the extinction of species.Mind Map: Habitat and Ecological Nest

→ Difference between habitat and ecological niche
Habitat and ecological niche they are distinct terms, but often confused. The first term refers to the place where an organism lives, and the niche relates to that organism's role in a community. This means that the niche refers to how a living being interacts with the ecosystem and its trophic position in a given food web. It is often said that while habitat can be compared to a living being's house, niche refers to their profession.
