Recurring English Themes on Enem

This is a very common theme in Enem tests. Within this theme, there are some more specific approaches that can make your studies even easier. Are they:

→ Verbal Tenses in English!

This is another very common theme in Enem, as there is always at least one question about this subject. In that case, it's important to study all the tenses to prepare for whichever one you choose. Some of the most recurrent verb tenses in Enem's English tests are:

  • Past Continuous

  • Present Perfect

  • Past Perfect

  • Future Perfectt

→ Passive Voice in English

THE passive voice (click on the link to deepen your studies) was present in almost all the latest Enem races. This is a theme that can be used to confuse the student and make him fall into “handles”. You can assume that at least one question on this topic will be on the test. Even if sometimes it is not the center of the matter, you can be sure that, in some text or phrase, the use of pronouns will be charged. So, if you don't master this subject, you will get lost in the matter. Some of the types of pronouns most used in texts and university entrance exams are:

  • Indefinite Pronouns

  • Reflexive Pronouns

  • Demonstrative Pronouns

Linking words

A topic that can cause a lot of confusion at the time of the test for those who have not studied it well is, without a doubt, the connectives in English (linking words). These words are used to give cohesion to the text, but if you don't know them and don't master the language, don't you will notice the lack of them, which may cause you to choose the wrong alternative, thinking it is the right one. These "linking words" can perform the following functions: explanatory, additive, adversative, conclusive and concessive.

Of course, the ideal would be to study and read about all subjects studied in the English discipline. However, if time is short, give priority to the most recurrent themes! Good test!
