Quintilio [or Marcvs Aurelivs Claudivs Quintilivs]

Roman Emperor of the West (270) born in imprecise exact place and year, perhaps in Dalmazia, cavalry commander who took over the government after the death of his brother Emperor Claudius II.

After the death of his brother emperor, victim of plague in Sirmium, Pannonia (270), he was proclaimed emperor by the legions of Italy and by the Senate. But the Pannonian legions acclaimed the Pannonian general Domicius Aureliano, also a cavalry commander, and thanks to his fame throughout the empire, soon the other troops of the Roman army also recognized him as the only one emperor.

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)

Abandoned by the troops in Aquileia and with only 17 days of reign, the ephemeral emperor committed suicide after to know of the irreversible seizure of power by Aureliano and his recognition as the only august by the Senate.
