rotaviral gastroenteritis: caused by rotavirus, it presents as symptoms diarrhea, fever and vomiting, being the most frequent cause of severe diarrhea in children. The contagion is mainly caused by ingestion of water or food contaminated with feces containing the virus. There are no vaccines or specific treatments to eliminate the pathogen. Considering these aspects, and the high rate of deaths caused by this disease, the patient's oral or intravenous rehydration is indicated in more severe cases.
The flu: caused by the Influenza virus, transmission occurs through contact with droplets of saliva, nasal secretions or surfaces contaminated by this microorganism. The flu has the following symptoms: fever, nasal obstruction, runny nose, headache and muscle pain, coughing, sneezing and, in rarer cases, compromise of the lungs. It can be fatal in the elderly, children and immunocompromised patients, with a vaccine aimed at so-called risk groups. This, despite preventing only some strains, has good results.

Hepatitis: affecting the liver, hepatitis viruses can be transmitted by contact with blood (hepatitis C), semen and vaginal fluids from infected individuals (Hepatitis B and D); or ingestion of water or food contaminated by their faeces (hepatitis A and E). Patients present with jaundice, fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. There is a vaccine for hepatitis B, whose virus can cause a chronic condition and even liver cancer.
