East is one of the points of orientation by the Sun, it is the side of the horizon where the Sun appears in the morning and that indicates the east or orient (which means source).
East, in political connotation, is the set of countries located east of Europe and comprises Asia, part of Africa and part of Europe (eastern Europe).
East and West
East and West are divisions created during the crisis of the Roman Empire, when in the year 286, to avoid constant conflicts, Emperor Diocletian reorganized the power structure. The empire was divided into two parts: the East under his command and the West, entrusted to Maximian.
Until the end of the fourth century, the Roman Empire remained unified. In 395, Emperor Theodosius divided the Roman Empire into two parts: Western Roman Empire, with capital in Milan, and the Eastern Roman Empire with its capital in Constantinople, which became an Empire Byzantine.
Middle East
The Middle East is one of the four regions of Asia and is located in its southeastern portion, it is the bridge connecting that continent, Europe and Africa. It is a region bounded by the Black, Mediterranean and Red Seas, the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea, in the Indian Ocean, and in its northern portion by an inland sea – the Caspian Sea. The Persian Gulf is called the Gulf of oil, because it concentrates the largest oil production in the region and in the world.
The Middle East comprises 17 states or countries, they are: Turkey (Asian part), Syria, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt (Asian part), Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Yemen, Oman and Afghanistan.
Far East
The Far East also called East Asia or Eastern Europe is one of the four regions of Asia and is located to the east of the Continent. The countries that are part of the Far East are: Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Taiwan, China (most populous country in the world), Mongolia and Macau and Hong Kong.
