THE conative function, which is also called appealing, is one of language functions according to the normative grammar. THE conation features emphasis on message receiver, that is, it aims to persuade O recipient/interlocutor and influence their behavior.
We can find the conative language US advertising texts (advertisements) and in the religious texts (prayers, prayers), as both address the message receiverto convince him to do/think something. O imperative modeFrom verbs and the use of vocatives are some of the discursive strategies used in texts whose language function is essentially appealing.
It is important to note that there are others textual genres gives injunctive or prescriptive typology, like the cooking recipes or other instructional texts, such as installation manuals for electronic devices, which also use the imperative verbs. However, unlike advertising texts, for example, cooking recipes and the manualsof instructionno are intended to convince the recipient of the message, but only
