Meteor is the luminous phenomenon promoted by the entry into the atmosphere of solid particles from space, called meteoroids. These particles enter the atmosphere at high speeds, and the friction generated during this process promotes a beautiful light show: the meteor, also called a shooting star.
Particles are usually the result of a comet's interactions with the Earth, in which the comet's material is displaced from its orbit; or even when the Earth crosses the orbit of a particular comet, triggering a meteor shower.

This phenomenon is possible to be detected with the naked eye and in some occasions there is noise emission. A meteor shower is characterized when several meteors are observed in a short period of time and appear to come from a common point, called radiant. There are also “sporadic meteors”, which occur in isolation.
