The importance of milk for health

Milk is a drink secreted by mammals, is whitish in color and has the function of nourishing descendants of these animals. It is produced by secretory cells of the mammary glands and also has an immunological action for the offspring, protecting them from microorganisms, inflammation and toxins.

Milk from different animals is ingested all over the world, from the most common milk, cow's, to exotic ones, such as buffalo. Processed milk can be classified into type A, type B, type C and long-life milk, which undergoes a sterilization process differently from other types, which undergo a process of sterilization. pasteurization.

Milk intake is very important for health, as it contains high quality protein that helps in the construction of tissues, helping to preserve muscles, hair, nails and other parts of the body. It has vitamins such as A, B and D, which protect the eyes, provide energy and optimize concentration, in addition to fighting anemia and strengthening bones. Its minerals favor the healing process and improve the immune system. Other benefits are also verified, such as preventing neurological diseases.

Drinking milk at different stages of life contributes to both physical and intellectual development. In the case of children up to 6 years of age, the calcium present in its composition participates in the formation of bones and teeth. Milk consumption must be maintained to supply the body's mineral needs, even after this phase. In adolescence, by strengthening the bones that are being formed until approximately 30 years of age, consumption prevents osteoporosis in the future. After 30 years of age there is a natural loss of calcium and for the maintenance of a healthy life it is necessary that a diet rich in calcium remains.

Thus, milk is essential for health at all stages of life, providing vigor, energy and nutrition. Drink milk!
