Color Perception

Color is perceived through the cones in our vision. There are about six million cones in the eye and the absence or deficiency of the cones causes color blindness. Color represents a perception for the brain and encourages it to differentiate one color from another. Thus, the brain learns to correct the color of objects, that is, if you wear dark glasses, when you take them off, the brain will show everything dark for a while until it realizes that it should leave the correction.

Research carried out by a color lab has shown that people subconsciously judge another person, an environment, or an object by color. The emotional links color to a given situation:

- Red; danger, hot, exciting, sex.
- Blue; male, cold, calm, stable.
- White; pure, honest, cold.
- Pastry; feminine, sensitive, delicate.
- Orange; emotion, positive.
- Black; death, power, authority, seriousness.
- Pink; female, hot, ardent.
- Green; nature, comfort, hope, money.
- Yellow; sun, heat, calm, tranquility.

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)

There are people who have disabilities to perceive colors, these affect more men than women. The fact that men have only one X chromosome makes the number of disabilities large, in women, by have two X chromosomes, it is necessary that both chromosomes are defective for your vision to be affected.
