Below are 5 History activities aimed at the 2nd year of Elementary School - Early Years.
The activities were elaborated based on the guidelines of the BNCC, presenting their respective Thematic Units, Objects of Knowledge and Skills.
Activity 01: Sociability spaces
Thematic Unit: The community and its records.
Objects of knowledge: The notion of the “I” and the “Other”: community, coexistence and interactions between people.
Skills: (EF02HI01) Recognize spaces of sociability and identify the reasons that bring people together and separate them in different social or kin groups.
The purpose of this activity is to help students realize that they develop their sociability through different people and groups.
Activity 02: Me and the other
Thematic Unit: The community and its records.
Objects of knowledge: The notion of the “I” and the “Other”: community, coexistence and interactions between people.
Skills: (EF02HI02) Identify and describe practices and social roles that people play in different communities.
The objective is to help the child to understand how individuals in a society develop their sociability in different groups and spaces.
Activity 03: Memory objects
Thematic Unit: The community and its records
Objects of knowledge: The notion of the “I” and the “Other”: records of personal and community experiences in time and space
Skills:(EF02HI04) Select and understand the meaning of personal objects and documents as sources of memories and stories in the personal, family, school and community spheres.
Activity 04: The family history
Thematic Unit: Ways to record community experiences
Objects of knowledge: The sources: oral reports, objects, images (paintings, photographs, videos), music, writing, digital information and communication technologies and inscriptions on walls, streets and social spaces
Skills: (EF02HI08) Compile family and/or community histories recorded in different sources.
Activity 05: The different professions
Thematic Unit: Work and sustainability in the community
Objects of knowledge: Survival and relationship with nature
Skills: (EF02HI10) Identify different forms of work existing in the community where he lives, their meanings, their specificities and importance.
